(January 8, 2014 – Los Angeles, CA) Grammy Award-winning drummer Gregg Bissonette (Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band/Joe Satriani/ELO) will host the Gregg Bissonette Groove Camp on March 14-16 in scenic Thousand Oaks, California at the Hampton Inn & Suites. Presented by MUSO Entertainment, the Gregg Bissonette Groove Camp (GBGC) will offer a limited number of students a total of 24 hours of hands-on, intensive playing alongside one of the world’s most prolific and respected drummers.
The GBGC offers three, eight-hour days of hands-on drumming in a small-scale classroom setting featuring instruction in a variety of techniques and musical drumming styles including: Pop, Rock, Jazz, Metal, Latin, Country, Punk, Reggae, Big Band, Blues, Hip Hop, Linear Funk and Old School Funk among others.
Space in the GBGC is extremely limited to allow Gregg to personally guide students through exercises that help hone and improve their drumming skills. Throughout the GBGC, students will play alongside Gregg on their own individual practice kits and pedals and benefit from the invaluable experience of drumming with one of the music industry’s most versatile artists.
Gregg will demonstrate, teach, and share experiences from decades of drumming with such noted artists as Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band, The Maynard Ferguson Big Band, David Lee Roth, ELO, Spinal Tap, James Taylor, Santana, Smashmouth, The Mustard Seeds, Andrea Bocelli, Tania Maria, The Buddy Rich Big Band, Joe Satriani, Gino Vanelli, Andy Summers, Don Henley as well as his work in film and television including: Friends, American Pie, Waiting for Guffman, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Enchanted, Finding Nemo, The Bucket List, The Devil Wears Prada, Superbad, The 40-Year-Old Virgin and The Muppets among many others.
